Q&A

Where do I find shoes to scan?

  • At your local shoe stores or malls. The Nike Store, Nordstrom Rack and others alike have an abundance of scannable shoe boxes.

How do I know what shoes in my store are profitable before I buy them?

  • When you scan a label, SneakScan will find what that pair of shoes is listed for on StockX, GOAT and eBay. It takes into account the retail price in store as well as any selling fees to give you the potential profit for the item on each platform.

What exactly do I scan?

  • You scan the full label on the shoe box, not just the barcode. However, there is a barcode scan option within the app. If the shoe does not come in a box, there is typically a label on the inside of the shoe. The OCR label scan looks for the SKU (usually 5-11 characters) on the label which identifies the item scanned.

What types of shoes should I be scanning?

  • Nike, Adidias, ASICS and New Balance shoes can be found on resale platforms at a very high success rate. Other sneaker brands such as Puma, Vans and Sketchers are hit and miss. Aviod dress shoes and any other shoes which fall outside of the sneaker category.
